alternative greenhouse

2017-2018 / Osaka Nihonbashi

alternative greenhouse is a project to collect space by amateur work built on farmland. So far, vinyl houses and huts have been built in various locations for growing vegetables and storing materials. It stands in the field and supports the field work of many people, from amateur gardeners to full-time farmers. Nowadays, it is so common that it becomes an element that forms landscapes not only in rural areas but also in various places. However, I noticed some of them that could not be said to have been made only for field work. The creativity, hobbies, and life of the users are mixed, and it seems that changes have been made in how they are used and built little by little. For the time being, we called the alternative greenhouse and decided to collect it.
